Silver Pieces & Silver Prize

posted in: Jewelry | 2

In autumn, Art Clay held a photo contest for silver jewelry created from Art Clay silver clay. In this contest, participants posted the jewelry photographs on Instagram with a specific hashtag, and from all qualified entries, Art Clay headquarters in Japan would pick the winners. The contest offered wonderful prizes.

I submitted two set of works:

Everbloom Camellia
Camellia is an incredible flower, some variants bloom throughout the cold months, hence the name ‘Rose of the Winter’. It is a beautiful and delicate flower, yet it’s strong and it can bloom through winter. I just love it. In my creation, layers of petals of a blooming camellia are topped with a yellow synthetic stone and combined with some leaves. The pendant is accompanied with a set of earstuds.

Winter Magic
I always love creating frame jewelry and even more in the past years due to my intensive watercolor painting activity. This time, my square and circle frames hold silver ‘paintings’ in winter theme, inspired by my winter watercolor landscapes: a scenery with fir trees covered with snow, and another one is a branch of evergreen fir tree, covered with snow.

I posted my works on Instagram @artjewelsmagic which is the account I originally set up for taking part for the bronze photo contest (click here to read more). The contest result was announced mid-December, I’m so delighted that Art Clay Official awarded my ‘Winter Magic’ a Silver Prize, the fourth place!

The entries are listed on the official website of the contest https://www.artclay.co.jp/htm/contest/2022ACSphoto-contest/result.shtml Thank you Art Clay and congratulations to all winners!

Thank you for reading and all the best wishes for the New Year!

Hello Natalie, thank you for your message! Currently due to my schedule I don’t offer courses or certification. As for the website, I just went through the contact and newsletter forms, they work ok on my side. Please feel free to let me know how the pages didn’t work for you, for example whether it showed an error notification etc, then I might be able to find out further. My email address is also listed on the contact page for another way to contact. Thanks again!
