Happy New Year! As 2026 unfolds, I hope this year brings everything better, and I wish you many moments filled with joy and light. I’m excited to share some delightful updates from my studio! This new year has been bustling with plans and wonderful changes in my creative space. I’m thrilled to announce that I’ll be expanding my teaching activities, offering more workshops for everyone who wants to explore their artistic side, both in jewelry and painting workshops.
Celebrating December
Since I missed writing a post in December, I’d like to go back and share some events.
A Prize for my Jewelry
I was honored to receive a prize for ‘The Lighthouse’, my art jewelry series that includes a ring, a pair of earrings and a bracelet, in the Art Clay Instagram Photo Contest. It was such a lovely way to wrap up the year.

Creative Collaboration
I also started an exciting online art collaboration with a talented artist friend Shruti Dev. We’re each creating our own pieces following agreed themes and sharing them online, which has made the creative process so much fun. Since I generally feel it could be good to post more regularly, this art journey provides that accountability, and it’s been going great!
FloweRescue in Helsinki
It’s such a joy to have donated my postcards to a Helsinki based charity organization FloweRescue ry. I truly admire what they do to save surplus and waste flowers, then donate them to care homes and charity organizations. Since my postcards feature flower bouquets, printed from larger watercolor paintings, I thought they would be a perfect fit, and FloweRescue expressed they were really happy to use the cards for their activities.

January Highlights
January has continued this inspiring momentum.
Silver Accessories Contest 2026 Exhibition in Tokyo
I had the privilege of participating in Silver Accessories Contest 2026 Exhibition in Tokyo, where I received an Honorable Mention! I’ve been participating in this contest and exhibition since 2008, and it continues to be one of the best platforms I know for art jewelry. It’s always a joy to participate here.

Workshop Silver Pendant from Silver Clay in Helsinki
This month, I also taught a workshop for a corporate group. In the customized workshop, each participant created 1-3 fine silver jewelry pendants. The results were unique and truly wonderful. It’s always a joy to watch the pieces become reality in such exciting and fun time. If you’re looking for ideas to spend creative time with colleagues, such as on Team Day, or with friends and family for birthdays or bachelorette parties, I’m open for bookings for private silver jewelry from silver clay workshops, feel free to contact me here. This year, I will also start offering private Art Clay Silver Certification silver clay training. More info coming!
Looking Forward
As I settle into this new year, I’m eagerly looking forward to completing some ongoing art projects. Thank you for being part of this artistic journey! Warm wishes, Astari
