I’m happy to share the highlights of the seventh Leaves & Love duo jewelry art exhibition, held in the beautiful Helsinki Winter Garden. This year, my theme was ‘Wild Spirits’, showcasing works that celebrate the wonder of wildlife and inviting viewers to explore the inspiring strength and beauty of the natural world’s inhabitants.

I featured mixed media artworks made from recycled materials, including recycled silver, which reflects my commitment to sustainability and innovation. Each piece tells the story of a wild animal that I created by hand-sculpting, featuring my signature combination of textures and colors from reclaimed papers.

The atmosphere was lively as visitors of all ages explored the exhibition. I particularly remember a little girl who asked her father to lift her so she could see all the displays up close, and then she came back for a second round! It was wonderful to hear how the works resonated with visitors, who engaged in conversations about the role wild animals play in our ecosystem and discovered facts, such as how a seahorse is actually a fish! Many visitors also shared their personal stories about their favorite animals.

Some heartwarming messages from the guests. Thank you!!

It was such a delight to welcome both old friends and new colleagues, and to once again host an art event while connecting with the community. I extend my heartfelt thanks to all the visitors, colleagues, and friends who attended and followed the event online. A special thanks goes to Meira Rauta and Helsinki Winter Garden for this collaboration. Here’s to many more creative projects in the future! Until next time! Much love, Astari
