I.Sea.You.2 Jewelry Exhibition — Leaves & Love 2024 at Helsinki Winter Garden

From 2.-10.11.2024, I presented my latest jewelry creations in my I.Sea.You.2. collection, at Leaves & Love duo jewelry exhibition at the beautiful Helsinki Winter Garden. Nestled by the Töölö bay, the venue’s glass structure is the house of so many amazing exotic floras and a green sanctuary in any season. This year was the 6th time Leaves & Love jewelry exhibition was being organized, you can read how it started in 2019 on my post here.

I.Sea.You.2. at Helsinki Winter Garden. It’s about corals, surrounded by coral cactus!

On Saturday November 2nd, the Meet & Greet was a lovely and vibrant time with friends and colleagues, as well as visitors from near and far across the globe. We shared exciting conversation around jewelry and the art world. To be with everyone when they engage with my pieces—whether in a quiet moment of observation or a lively discussion about corals and the sea environment, were such uplifting experiences.

These discussions were a profound reminder of why I create the I.Sea.You.2. jewelry series in the first place—to spark thoughts and raise awareness about the sea environment. You can read more about my I.Sea.You. jewelry series on my previous posts: how did it begin at Aqua Ambra Aquila International Jewelry competition 2024 and came 1st Place and the continuation of the I.Sea.You. series.

It was wonderful to meet and discuss about jewelry and the art world with guests from near and far.

A couple of pieces that seemed to capture a lot of attention was the ‘Opulence’ ring, the jewelry featured in the exhibition poster, as well as ‘The Coral Pod’ collection.

The opulence ring and The Coral Pod collection are mixed-media works that combine recycled silver with recycled paper. Many visitors told me that from the exhibition they found out new facts about corals and the sea environment, and that made me really happy!

I’m truly humbled by the support and feedback I received. Guests described, both on the guestbook and online via my website, email, or social media, the exhibition as “inspiring”, “amazing”, “beautiful”, and I’m so glad to receive feedback that visitors feel the energy and joy from the colors I use in my work! Hearing these words from local and international visitors alike was truly lovely.

Thank you!!

My gratitude to the wonderful team of Helsinki Winter Garden and Meira Rauta for this 6th collaboration of Leaves & Love Jewelry Exhibition, and to my family for the incredible support. Thank you to everyone who came to the exhibition as well as who followed the event online and shared this special moment with me. Your presence and words of encouragement mean a lot to me. With love and gratitude, Astari G. Swatantri
